Wanderlust is a Bitch

Today I suck MORE at living in the moment. I'm finding it harder and harder to stay focused in the present. In my head, I'm already eating crepes in Harajuku and frolicking with the deer in Nara.

T-minus one month until my husband and I are eating ramen and hitting up a karaoke bar in Shinjuku. I. AM. STOKED!

It has been my biggest travel dream to explore Japan since I was a teenager. This is going to be one hell of an adventure. You better believe I am bringing my camera.

Rainbow Cake Pinterest Win!

Today I suck less at baking a beautiful cake for my son's 2nd birthday!

My son was standing in the kitchen next to me as I pulled the cake out of the fridge. He squealed, "Sooooo, prettttty" and my heart melted. I did good.

I found this awesome Betty Crocker, Rainbow Cake recipe by The Little Kitchen. I figured even if I can't pull this cake off, the hilarious Pinterest Fail picture would be worth it!

I'm happy to report, I was not a Pinterest Fail! The cake looked lovely and tasted like heaven! My son finished the entire slice and it was a hit at his "Dos años, Mas tacos" Fiesta!

If you are looking for a killer Rainbow Cake recipe, I highly recommend this one!
