travel
often
alone
even if it scares you
there are doors in your soul
only opened in a new land
hidden cities inside yourself
now go explore them

I just got back from a 5 day, solo adventure in Mexico City. This will go down as one of my favorite holidays. I had a lot of family and friends concerned for my safety before I left. And a few that kept checking in on me :) We've all heard horror stories about travel in Mexico. I can assure you that you can definitely have a safe and very fun time in CDMX, even as a solo female traveler. Obviously, you have to keep your wits about you. But hopefully this will encourage you to go and explore on your own! Here is a collection of photos from my trip! Oh, I'm bummed I didn't get to the Frida Kahlo Museum. It was a 3 hour wait to get in! And I did not take near enough photos. I was too busy enjoying myself. I'll call that a win, even for this photographer.
Mexico City is filled with amazing museums, restaurants, shops, and friendly people. It's a short 1.5 hour flight for me so I will most definitely be back!
Fave Eats:
Contramar
Mercado Roma
Azul
Dulce Patria
Condesa DF
Fave Shops:
Void
Goodbye Folk
Soho
Vintage Hoe
Zara ('cause American Zara is trash)
Fave Spots:
Anthropology Museum
Chapultepec Park
Pyramid of the Sun
El Pendulo Bookshops
Bukowski's Bar (Jazz Club)
