I Fancy the Lead Singer

Friday, October 24, 2014

I bought this t-shirt at an H&M in Scotland when I sang backup for Wheatus on their fall UK tour. It made me giggle at the thought of wearing it at my own shows :-) Yesterday, I had the pleasure of hanging with Sousous Photography. Yana was testing lighting for an upcoming photo shoot for my brand new awesomesace band, SÍGNY.

We will be shooting at the Mexican American Cultural Center here in Austin. The building is incredibly intriguing with stark contrasts and brilliant angles. Here were some fun test shots, just messing around.
Giving Yana my best JC Penney catalogue stance! 90's modeling at its finest.

Food Babe's Mexican Organic Black Bean Goat Cheese Tacos w/ a Twist

Tuesday, October 7, 2014

Today I suck less at eating clean mexican food, quickly!

I adore Food Babe. She is fighting the good fight on the clean eating food front. Yesterday, her recipe popped up in my Facebook news feed and it sounded delicious--it was! Black beans and goat cheese make the perfect palate combo.

Instead of the salsa I used this killer Avocado Vinaigrette from Cindy's Kitchen that I bought at Whole Foods. It MADE the tacos!

I added tomato, avocado, red onion, arugula and goat cheese for the toppings.

Make these tonight, you will not regret it. Make enough for leftovers too or you will regret it ;)

I apologize in advance! This is a very photo heavy blog post. We just got back from an amazing week in Panama for our honeymoon. Couldn't have imagined a better time or place. Hope you enjoy the view through our eyes.

View of Panama City from Casco Viejo.
 An abundance of Street Art.

Popa Paradise prepared a special romantic dinner in a hut on the beach. It was beyond memorable! Thanks Nico and Bernadino!

We took a fun excursion to Green Acres Chocolate Farm. I had no idea we would trek an hour through the jungle for the chocolate! Totally worth it and we had an amazing guide!

Cacao Pod--delicious!
If I never see another spider in my lifetime, I will die happy.
If you like piña coladas and getting caught in the rain... visit Panama in October!
Found myself in our hotel artwork.
Best dinner of our trip was at Manolo Caracol! Highly recommend their fresh, local prefix dinner.
