I've been working out every single day since December 27th, doing a combination of HIIT, Kettlebell workouts, Power Yoga and Jump Rope Cardio. You'd think I'd feel great. Well, I do and I don't. I'm getting stronger and more flexible, but my body feels slightly beat up and abused.
I realized this week that I need to dial it back a bit to actually reach my goals. I've been pushing myself so hard that I haven't left room to breathe. I'm going to switch to 3-4 days a week of hard training and add in more walking and yoga. We are inundated with ways to push ourselves to the limit. But, at the end of the day we need to listen to our bodies.
Mine is telling me that it wants more yummy yoga and less stress. Sometimes, most of the time, less is more.
To help me on my journey, I've started 30 Days of Yoga with Adriene. I LOVE her routines and mantra, "Find What Feels Good." Why don't you join me here?
Since it's Valentine's Day, I thought I would post a recipe that really treats my body well. Ask yourself, "What can I do today to show my body some love?"
