Rainbow Cake Pinterest Win!

Today I suck less at baking a beautiful cake for my son's 2nd birthday!

My son was standing in the kitchen next to me as I pulled the cake out of the fridge. He squealed, "Sooooo, prettttty" and my heart melted. I did good.

I found this awesome Betty Crocker, Rainbow Cake recipe by The Little Kitchen. I figured even if I can't pull this cake off, the hilarious Pinterest Fail picture would be worth it!

I'm happy to report, I was not a Pinterest Fail! The cake looked lovely and tasted like heaven! My son finished the entire slice and it was a hit at his "Dos años, Mas tacos" Fiesta!

If you are looking for a killer Rainbow Cake recipe, I highly recommend this one!

Copeland's "Up, Up & Away" 1st Birthday Party!

Today I suck less at planning a party.

A few months ago it hit me! My son will be turning the big O-N-E. I wanted to create a very special party for him. I settled on an "Up, Up & Away" theme. We had a great turnout and Copeland was the life of the party. Enjoy some pics from the day!

 I made the balloons out of grocery bags, fluff, honeycomb and fishing line.

 My lovely friend, Yana, made this adorable banner for Copeland!
